About Theo
Burnt out twice. Rebuilt once, properly.
Theo Alvarez ran product at two startups, collected a panic disorder along the way, and spent the next decade learning why breath training worked when everything else he tried did not.

The second burnout was the useful one. The first I blamed on the job. The second happened at a company I loved, with a team I chose, doing work I believed in. The problem was not the life. It was the machine running it.
A sports physiologist taught me carbon dioxide tolerance drills in a parking garage, of all places, and for the first time in years my body came down on command. I did what any obsessive does: I went and got every certification that touched the subject, then spent three years apprenticing with people who train tactical teams and free divers.
Cinder is what survived the filter: the twenty percent of the practice that produces ninety percent of the result, taught without costume. Nine years in, the people I train run companies, operating rooms, and locker rooms. They do not want a retreat. They want a skill.
